These dazzling 1 Reale replica earrings were inspired by an asymmetrical silver "cob" coin recovered by Odyssey Marine Exploration's founders during the first deep-ocean archeological excavation of a colonial Spanish shipwreck. Research suggests the sunken ship discovered near Florida's Dry Tortugas was part of the 1622 "Tierra Firme" fleet bound for Spain with New World silver reales, also known as "cobs."
